If there's only one producer to be named constantly working on the fusion of DeepHouse and Dub-influences these days the name of Langenberg might be dropped easily and his forthcoming "Past Present EP" to be released via Dessous Recordings proves this choice once again. All three tracks featured on this 12" are revolving around the same very basic ingredients - slow, pumping beat patterns, some sparse, classic chords and a deep, dubbed out and ever moving sub. No additional ornamentation needed, apart from some echoic vocals snippets on A2 track "Backyard" and steadily evolving string arrangements on the housier "Monday 16th".
