Hasco Enjoyments - Wow! [Rope Worm 004]
Coming in from the highly appreciated Polish imprint that is Rope Worm these days is "Wow!", the first ever album instalment for the project named Hasco Enjoyments. Scheduled for release on January 18th, 2k25 this (mini)-album, rolled out over eight pieces and a total playtime of 26 minutes, sees John-Peter Hasson, the main force behind the outfit, and his plethora of collaborators - described in the accompanying press sheet as "...an ensemble of iridescent bubbles..." - going on a deep dive into dreamy, comforting, playful and imaginative sound spheres of mostly organic nature, paying homage to the sonic tapestry of New Age music as well as cheerful Easy Listening with brightly cascading cuts like "The Seattle Mariners Are My Favorite Baseball Team" whereas pieces like the subsequent "Finance, Fashion, Healthcare & Sports" focuses on slow Ambient relaxation in combination with somewhat cliche Quasian rhythm signatures and drifting electric guitar executions whereas "Executive Bonus" caters panoramic strings, tender guitar tones and admittedly slightly kitsch-y flutes as well as echoes of what could be described as a Jazz-leaning attitude just to name a few. If this seems to be right up your alley go and grab one of these limited edition CD albums which is also recommended to dedicated fans and followers of contemporary Library x Production Music for a reason.
