Meow Meow - Pow Pow [Isope 003]

Put out on the circuit via the Belgian Isope imprint on August 10th, 2k16 is "Pow Pow", the limited to 300 copies label debut for the Dutch artist Meow Meow. Pressed onto beautiful clear x blue splatter vinyl the A-side opens with "Party Like An Owl" and a hounded take on highspeed TribeTekno infused by uplifting rave signals, lovely melodies and driving vocal samples with the subsequent "Shaker" adding elements of Breakcore x DarkJungle and Raggacore to the mix whereas "Survival", a collaboration effort cooked up with Jefflocks, follows a darker path into a realm of Breakcore-infused Unhappy Hardcore for those who know. Furthermore the B1 cut "Mewtant" pairs proper straightforward Hardcore with anthemic Hyperrave stabs and an airy, floating and surprisingly innocent main motif before "Crass" shifts gears and enters what could be well filed under the flag of Speedcore territory for an intense closing climax.
