Bad Matter & Scary – Demon Masters / Mark Tailor - White Ass [Pressure Chamber 003]

After its kinda weak cat.no. 002 german Drum’n’Bass-imprint Pressure Chamber strikes back with its third release and does way better with this one. Bad Matter & Scary serve their usual Drum’n’Snare- / Slaughter’n’Bass-thingy but pick up enough dark vocal samples and athmospheres here to create something thrilling plus their beat trickery is working the dancefloor massive right which means – actually there is a proper groove to all those chopped up drums which isn’t the case with most of the genres releases these days which are full-on moshpit. Well done. Mark Tailor’s „White Ass“ is more a deep, but still heavy stepper that might be referred to as serious follow-up to DJ Ron’s legendary „Industrial Dubwise E.P.“ flavourwise but with a contemporary touch and due to this will be supported by all those DJs that experienced the heyday of Drum’n’Bass-music. Check.
