Ryo Murakami - Down The Sky [Poker Flat Recordings 095 Promo]

Japanese new breed talent Ryo Murakami comes up with his "Down The Sky E.P." as cat.no. 095 of Poker Flat Recordings these days and is about to work floors right with this one. A1 sees the title track reworked by Poker Flat's Greek-based in-house producer Argy, which delivers a pumping, techy tune with ecstatic snarerolls and primetime feel while the original version is stripped down but still on a quite positive and uplifting tip featuring cool lead synths plus some funny, weirdly processed vocal snippets that make punters smile when they're flickering through. "Coke" is featured on the flipside and while it remains open if he's talking CocaCola or cocaine here the tune drives floors mad with its modulated high tone lead sounds and dark echoic, sci-fi stabs accidentally dropping on top of a cool groove that is to be named no less than purest Minimal Funk. Top tune and the best one on this 12".
