Sascha Müller [Sascha Müller Music 1000009]

Well, if you're kickin' out one release after another for years and years like the mighty man Sascha Müller does you're well likely to run short on track names at one point or another so it might be a clever idea to start to name tracks just in their order of appearance - "No1", "No2"... you know the deal. This is exactly what happens on this six track release that has just been put on the circuit this week and - as one might well guess - running short on names does not equal a lack of creativity here. Albeit staying mostly close to a dry, minimalistic and stripped down technoid vision here which would've well fit into the context of The Advent's badgering Highspeed Techno of the late 90s or a lot of releases on Tresor Records it's pretty clear that there's still a lot of stuff to explore in this specific field of electronic dance music that caters tool'ish fodder to all them real DJ's out there, able to fast mix and cut, blend and cause havoc with just two (or three...) turntables and a mixer whilst battering the right barrage of cold dancefloor weapons towards a breathless, sweat soaked audience. Tunes able to make a punters night the best one ever devoid of his or her individual recognition of a single tune. Classy.
