Dr. NoiseM - The CDr A-B-C: V [Dr. NoiseM Tapes]

Released in late April via Dr. NoiseM Tapes is the "V" sequel of Dr. NoiseM's slowly concluding album series "The CDr A-B-C" which seems to take a quite surprising turn with this album as the long and stretched out intro section of this 77 minutes spanning one track wonder is as fragile and Ambient-orientated as nothing in this series ever has been before. Based on delicate structures of high frequency movements, sometimes accompanied by what seem to be warped but heavenly flutes we're taken into realms of absolute beauty before trails of darkness appear in the form of well known respiratory sounds which provide an unsettling contrast to the brittle melodic fragments which have formed up to this point, transforming into a slow musical sunrise at a later point throughout the longplayers course. But no matter how bright the sonic sun may shine in this very moment, there'll always come a time when the night and the shadows take over and haunting wraiths leave their hideaways to promote their ill-minded spirits. And following this eternal rule we see darkness creeping up closer with every minute, tentatively tackling the overall euphony, lurking and preparing for the final action but still not ready to attack, keeping the eerie tension up until the very last minute. Defo a nice variation in "The CDr A-B-C"-series for sure.
