01. Painting - Snapshot Of Pure Attention [Sinnbus BLN / Lost Map]
Painting are back. With their second album effort after the triumphant debut "Painting Is Dead" the musical triumvirate embarks on a six tracks and 36 minutes spanning journey once again, bringing forth a fusion of extremely dense HyperJazz and oftentimes changing MathRock-infused time signatures, hard hitting Kraut sequences, driving Synth madness and their signature treat - intricate, intertwined, overlapping and at times even falsetto reaching vocals with an extremely catchy twist which still make Painting one of the most exciting and forward thinking band outfits out there.
02. Mike Ash - Eurotic [Ozone Recordings]
R-A-V-E is back. In capitals. The legendary Bleep label from Sheffield which re-emerged from the ashes back in 2k16 sees Mike Ash serving a banging four track release filled to the brim with heavy Rave stabs, ominous hoover sounds, brooding basslines as well as seductive bleeps, retrofuturist speak-and-spell madness and a whole fucking lot of early 90s Hardcore energy for dedicated oldskool ravers and a nuskool whistle crew. This a bomb.
03. FEX - Subways of Your Mind *TMMS Version [The Outer Edge 029]
"Subways Of Your Mind". Again. Although being admittedly apprehensive about the second 7" re-issue of what once was dubbed the most mysterious song on the internet being a simple cash-grab operation we finally ended with two copies of this even, because.... well... dj things. "Subways Of Your Mind *TMMS Version" is as fascinating and slightly dark'ish as a New Wave x Alternative Rock song with a catchy Pop appeal can be whereas the twangy, hypnotic "Talking Hands *Remastered Demo Mix" presents quite a hefty and energetic chorus section as well as ominously hovering sequences which might be prone to live extensions and other madness in a DJ context in the future.
