John Chantler - Tomorrow Is Too Late [Room40 Promo]

Put out on the circuit via the buzzing Australian Room40 label is John Chantler's latest album effort "Tomorrow Is Too Late" on which the Sweden-based Aussie composer presents two pieces of music which were originally commissioned works for the Presences Electronique festival 2018. Opening with the albums title track "Tomorrow Is Too Late" we see John Chantler building a sonic landscape comprised of both blurred tender and harmonic Ambient movements and electric drones as well as minimal, slightly retrofuturistic electroacoustic passages, near silence, curious bleeps and ringing sweeps whereas "We're Always At The End" picks up on a slightly deeper and musically more consistent tip which sees Ambient and Deep Listening Music on a slow, transformative decay morphing into a stream of warped, gooey subaquatic sonic events and more retrofuturistic space pulses before the whole thing turns full cycle and ends up on a warm, beautiful panorama note that feels as crisp as an early summer morning sunrise.
