Xotox - Partikel [Infacted Recordings]

Released via Infacted Recordings on June 6th, 2k25 is "Partikel", the latest full-length album outing by long standing producer Andreas Davids a.k.a. Xotox - reknowned and loved for his captivating fusion of EBM, Industrial, HardTechno and beyond. After leading into the 15 tracks and roughly 55 minutes strong album with a dark, almost score'esque intro Xotox is catering "The Dark *Rebuilt 2k24 Version" which, in its new iteration, is a surprisingly uplifting and groove-oriented EBM x ElectroTechno cut with a certain swing partly reminiscent of the heyday of ElectroClash even followed by the hard Broken Techno x Industrial of "Xotoxikologie" which has been around as a digital single release for a while whilst "Niemandskind" even evokes memories of late DAF in some way or the other. With cuts like "Analyse Me" we're drawn into a fascinating and well futuristic amalgamation of Industrial and echoes of darkest 90s Drum'n'Bass experimentalisms whilst "Narben" digs deep into distorted Rhythm Industrial territories for peaktime death raves and "Der Weg In Die Stille" brings on uplifting fodder for Tech- and FuturePop-floors after a very minimalist and certainly low end-heavy intro sequence . Furthermore "Die Ungewollten" comes at us with a surprisingly catchy piano loop motif giving off a well housey feel despite being backed by hard hitting Industrial rhythms and interesting German vocal snippets whereas "Wie Wenig Wir Wussten" once again brings on well positive and seductive vibes for late night ElectroClash fests and "Geisterstadt" and its captivating midrange sawtooth synths might be one of the most fascinating future classics hidden on this album just to highlight a few favorites here. Good stuff.
