Q_e_M - Quality Electronic Music: An October 2k25 Discogs Round Up

So another month has passed and whilst nitestylez.de head honcho baze.djunkiii has continuously worked on the Q_e_M - Quality Electronic Music on Discogs presence and stock a few things have happened and some gems have been added to the inventory which we'll try to highlight on a roughly monthly basis from now on. But before we head to releases for sale we've come across our first non-paying buyer which since then has been blocked, of course. Interestingly this user had seemingly only placed one order before, a few years prior, which also remained unpayed (after thirteen days) and therefore led to a rating of 0.0% with one negative feedback and now made it two. Thanks for the implemented auto-cancellation process on Discogs which we had set generously to seven instead of the default four days buffer for payment. But still - why do ppl do this and block sellers inventory from being sold to commited buyers? Strange.

Limited Edition Restocks:

1. Thee Joker - Untitled [Hotel Lotte 002]
2. Wulfmanson - Untitled [Hotel Lotte 004]

A copy of each 7" vinyl release sold to the same buyer in Belgium earlier this month. According to Discogs not more than 500 copies of these were manufactured for the former Cologne-based Hotel Lotte label which was run by the Liquid Sky Cologne crew in the late 90s as an outlet for all kind of quirky TripHop x Downtempo weirdness and related sonic affairs. With former connections to Liquid Sky Cologne and later being associated with the Liquid Sky Berlin crew for a while baze.djunkiii managed to rescue a bunch of unplayed stock prior to destruction roughly a decade ago. Most of these have been sold but watch out for remaining stock.

Added new and unplayed highlights:

1. Grauzone - Eisbär [We Release Whatever The Fuck We Want Records 041]
"Eisbär" is an undisputed evergreen in NDW / German New Wave but for collectors of quality [electronic] music the most interesting track on this reissue will be "Film 2" on the flip which provides a truly haunting amalgamation of spiralling SynthWave and ProtoTechno.

2. Wolfgang Tilmans - Insanely Alive (Remixes) [Fragile 013]
baze.djunkiii already praised this release on these pages in June of 2k22 as '...nothing but a top notch bang0r.' and it still is a criminally underrated gem, somewhat sitting in between genres like SynthPop and ElectroClash. Also - when was the last time you actually saw the Pet Shop Boys doing a remix for somebody?

Pre-loved and collectible:

1. Juan Atkins & Moritz Von Oswald - Borderlands [Tresor 262 Promo CD]
Seemingly sought after this rare promo CD from the offices of Berlin's famed Techno staple Tresor Records was sourced from an abandoned CD collection. For fans and collectors of Detroit and Dub Techno.

2. Tangerine Dream - Tangram [Virgin]
Sourced from a retiring DJs collection this is an Italian pressing which might be a little rough around the edges but might provide a gateway for someone who starts to get into Berlin School x ProtoAmbient x Synth sounds for a reason.
