Siavash Amini - A Mimesis Of Nothingness [Hallow Ground Promo]

Set for release via Switzerland's Hallow Ground label on August 28th, 2k20 is "A Mimesis Of Nothingness", the fourth full length longplay affair produced for the label by Siavash Amini. Partly inspired by and created in dialogue with fellow Iranian photographer Nooshin Shafiee and roughly based around the theme - or better: the feel - of their shared hometown of Tehran, Siavash Amini is pairing raw, grainy pulses and scrapings with brittle, icy atmospheres and deep low end dronings in the opener "Lustrous Residue", weighs in stripped down, yet hard hitting Industrial Sci-Fi Electronica rhythms in the subsequent "Perpetually Inwards" whereas the "Moonless Garden" pairs Field Recordings of singing birds with hopeful, calm and peaceful Ambient vibes to provide a classic genre blueprint for late 2k20 with this one. Furthermore "Observance (Shadow)" is in for more nightly Ambient mystique and what seem to be dramatic non-vocal choir passages from interdimensional heavens, "A Collective Floundering" caters trans-dimensional sound warps and slowly shifting humungous sonic masses embedded in a crystalline, yet icy and poisonous atmosphere from which cascading synths emerge like remnants of a long gone (Neo)Cosmic era and the final cut "The Stillborn Baroque" harks back to unprocessed Field Recordings paired with partly warped, partly ear piercing electronic sounds in a collage'esque way for a closing. Check.
