Next up in Dr. NoiseM's ongoing "The CDr A-B-C"-series is the "Q"-chapter, strictly following the path of the alphabet and, of course, the conceptual theme of the series which - with an album each month over the course of 26 months - takes us deep into the world of Cold-, Dark- and Death Ambient. Throughout the 72 minutes runtime of "Q" we're dealing with slow subterraneous shifts of immense amounts of icy mass whilst cold winds are blowing in lightless caverns of humongous size. These spaces provide a home to creatures older and more terrifying than the Great Old One's, listening to lost echoes of off-kilter sirens and forbidden chants more alienating and life-denying than the icy plains of antarctica. If these chants, as well as the idea of complete isolation and everlasting darkness seem enticing to you, you defo need to add this album to your collection for a reason.
