Antonella Eye Porcelluzzi & Deaf Society - The Velocity Of Velocities [Opa Loka Records]

Released via the ever active label Opa Loka Records on November 24th, 2k18 is "The Velocity Of Velocities", a conjunctional effort in which the rewritings of texts originally put down to paper by classic figures Teresa Of Avila and Mina Loy by Antonella Eye Porcelluzzi are paired with the music of Deaf Society to form a five part, 22 minutes long mini album. Musically this combination comes down to Spoken Word poetry as an integral part of the albums concept paired up with intense Dark / Ritual Ambient in "Part 1" as well as floating, playful and fully instrumental early 90s Ambient / ChillOut in "Part 2" whilst "Part 3" brings on dark, intense droning and unrest as a foundation for Porcelluzi's partly horrifying vocal morphings. Furthermore "Part 4" is exploring crackly, buzzing, spaced out territories and hoarse non-vocalisms before the final "Part 5" fully indulges in multi-layered vocals and brooding ambience for rituals going way beyond what religion would allow ever to happen. Praise the dark lord whilst listening to this last cut.
