Put out on the digital circuit via the well kept secret imprint that is 2020 Records as their cat.no. 004 is "4", the latest album by the artist and labels head honcho also sneakily called 2020. Presenting an extended magnum opus of ten tracks rolled out over roughly 90 minutes total playtime and diving deep into a realm of what might be called ethereal, time-defying Cosmic Ambient from the first ever tones of the shimmering opening tune "Tree Of Life" onwards this album provides a well extended journey for all dedicated genre collectors, in parts also reminiscent of a certain Cold Ambient approach oftentimes followed by artists like Dr. NoiseM, in parts flirting with icy swaths of granular noise floating over hostile DeathAmbient plains whereas cuts like "The Box" bring forward a steady, slowly evolving stream of warm and comforting, yet glooming Dark Ambient, "Cleef" drifts off into dense, washed nebulae of glacial sounds whilst tunes like the concluding "Buschbrand" once again hark back to misty, washed out pads and a sonic equivalent to a total visual white out just to name a few.
